The desires of the executive board
One member of the managing board turns to a private bank with his/her wishes. In the course of initial discussions, this bank already recommends Pechtl Unternehmensentwicklung (Pechtl Organizational Development) to him/her. A few hours later, the contact can be made:
"Because of our rapid growth and since our financier has failed to meet his commitments, we are in need of a short-term investor with about 5 million Euros of equity capital available for investment. ...Can you help us in finding such an investor? Due to the importance of this matter, we have also engaged other individuals. You only have six weeks time in this matter, since we must submit the orders for the coming season by then."
The pathway to success
Two days later, the briefing takes place, an investigation of the commercial documents and of the set of figures begins.
The most important task involves the preparation: We select the commercial documents and put them together in such a way, and within a short period of time, so that the technical products of the enterprise, their market standing and their economic data from the past, and involving the future, are presented in a well-founded manner which can even be interpreted by laymen/women. This is also performed in enough detail as to be evaluated by certified public accountants.
For the situation at hand and the present organizational structure, a private investor is being sought rather than an institutional investor. The search then begins.
The results
Three weeks later, the first, thoroughly prepared investor discussions are carried out. Questions arise and the interested parties also express their reservations. In the following days, we clarify this together with the accountant, provide further information and contribute to the continuing progress with our own assessments. Ten days later, an o.k. follows. Not one of the other participants was able to present a single interested party...
